REGULATIONS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
FOR NATURE GUIDED TOURS IN VIVARA
The Guided Naturalistic Tour in the Vivara State Nature Reserve is an environmental education tour that lasts about 2h and 30 min. During the walk along the island's paths, the Licensed Guide will illustrate, in Italian, the floro-botanical, faunal, geological and archaeological features that make Vivara unique in the Mediterranean region.
In order to protect the Vivara habitat, we take a number of measures to avoid damaging the ecosystem, which is why we allow a limited number of visitors per day to access the island and ask that a few simple rules be followed during the visit, which also apply to personal safety.
Visitor access to Vivara Island is permitted only when accompanied by the Reserve's Naturalist Guides, who are responsible for the safety and conduct of the visitors' group throughout their stay within the Reserve.
Visitors are required to observe any directions given by the Guide. It is the Guide's responsibility to make visitors observe the regulations that protect the Vivara habitat and the safety rules for people. The Guide has the authority to cancel or suspend a Guided Tour (whether for a single person or for an entire group) in the event of uncertain safety conditions in the area (for example, in the case of bad weather), or in the absence of adequate clothing of visitors to face the route, or in case he/she assesses that the health condition of a participant is not objectively suitable to walk the route of the walk.
In case of cancellation of the guided tour, the entrance fee will be fully refunded.
